Manali is a gorgeous resort town in Himachal Pradesh located at 540 km from Delhi and 250 km from Shimla. It lies at an altitude of 6726 feet. The tourists from all over the world visit Manali every year to admire its stunning landscape. Skiing, paragliding, winter trekking and many more fun activities can be enjoyed in Manali.

The best time to visit Manali is between April to June. During this period, Manali showcases its lush green beauty, colourful meadows with snow-clad mountains.

Hindu religious shrines and Buddhist Monasteries in Manali are available for spiritual travellers. Due to its pleasant weather conditions, Manali remains full of honeymooners. There are some of the best places to check out in Manali. Let’s explore some.

Hadimba Temple

Hadimba Temple is devoted to the wife of Bhima from the Mahabharata, Goddess Hidimba. It is an ancient temple built in 1553. The temple resembles the Japanese and Indian style of architecture. There are cedar trees at the foothills of the temple. The temple is open from 8 am to 7 pm. There is no entry fee in the temple. Also, photography is allowed in the temple.

Solang Valley

Solang Valley is a beautiful sightseeing spot in Manali located between Solang Village and Beas Kund. This spot is famous among the honeymoon couples. It is a great attraction for those who love to play with snow and go skiing.

This place houses the guest house of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports. The institute arranges skiing festivals every year and thrills the visitors. Parachuting, zorbing, biking, horse riding, and paragliding are the other popular activities to try in this area.

Rohtang Pass

Rohtang Pass is one of the famous tourist places in Manali. The pass is located on the Manali- Keylong Highway. It is one of the highest passes in Manali. The pass divides the valleys of Kullu and mountains of Lahaul and Spiti. The visitor needs permission from the Indian Army  and administration of Manali to enter the pass. Skating, skiing, paragliding, snow scooter and many more adventures can be enjoyed in this area. Summer is the best time to visit the pass.

Jogni Waterfalls

Jogni Waterfalls is one of the best places for trekking. The waterfalls retain its natural beauty due to its unexplored location. The waterfalls surrounded by beautiful sceneries. The trek covers beautiful orchards, pine forests and numerous small streams. There is no entry fee to sightsee this attraction.

The Great Himalayan National Park

The Great Himalayan National Park is a 452 sq. mi park which is a renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site. The altitude ranges from 1800 m to 5800 m. The park houses lots of rare fauna species. It is the best place to go camping. March to June and September to November are the ideal time to visit the park.

Vashisht Hot Water Springs & Temple

Vashisht Hot Water Springs is a fountain of hot water which is believed to possess medicinal properties. The water can cure a number of skin diseases. It adorns Turkish style showers with cold and hot water supply. Vashisht Temple is a pair of temples which is dedicated to Lord Ram and Sage Vashisht.
