Rohtang pass is famous tourist point located 51 Kms from Manali. Rohtang pass is on the height of 3,978 meters from sea level. Leh is 500 km from Manali and Rohtang is on the way. Journey to Rohtang itself full of adventure. You can see sights like Nehru Kund, Gulaba, Marhi, Kothi, Rehalla fall and Bias Kund on the way to Manali. It is splendid to view snow-capped mountains and the view of green meadows.
Rohtang Pass remains open for visitors after April last week to 2nd week of December. You can travel Rohtang pass in August. It takes one full day for an excursion to Rohtang Pass. Every vehicle going to Rohtang Pass need to report at Gulaba barrier. Gulaba is 20 km from Manali. You should start the journey to Rohtang Pass early in the morning. Officially you can not go beyond Gulaba barrier after 12: 00 Pm. You can get through till 2 PM from this barrier unofficially. You should return back before getting dark. You can do may activities related to snow at Rohtang Pass in August. Skiing, Snowboarding, driving snowmobile or quad bike are activities you can do at Rohtang Pass. Many small stalls are available for light snacks, tea or coffee.

- You can travel Rohtang Pass either by a bus or taxi. HRTC has daily departures of electric buses from Manali to Rohtang Pass. You can book this bus using the link below. - You should travel to Rohtang Pass with proper winter garments. You required gloves, warm socks, jackets, sweaters, mufflers, cap, and winter inner wear to protect yourself from cold. Snow boots are necessarily required to walk over snow. You can also rent winter clothes on the way to Rohtang Pass.
