- Rohtang Pass is very cold place as compared to Manali. You should put on all available winter garments from your luggage. Winter clothes like Gloves, Caps, Warm socks, Jackets, Snow boots you can rent on the way. It is not advised to visit Rohtang Pass without proper clothing and snow boots.
- There two ways to travel Rohtang Pass in May. You can get an electric bus runs by HRTC. You should book this bus as early as possible from following the link of official website of HRTC. Secondly, you hire a taxi to visit Rohtang. District administration issues 1200 passes daily for cabs going to Rohtang Pass. 800 passes for cars run on petrol and 400 for car runs on diesel. You or your taxi driver would have to get a pass online using this link.
